the thought of "honest photography" chanced upon my mind the other day. it was brought up by someone i was talking to. i don't think any photography is honest reality through and through. photography is an art and what it conveys varies from artist to artist. what you see in my images is what i want you to see. it's not reality in every sense, but i think my goal is to convey reality in my own way. yea. i wrote on a piece of paper in january this year that i wanted to capture the good, the bad, the happy, the sad, the indifferent, the ecstatic, the wrinkles, the flaws, the lovely, the conventional "pretty" and unconventional pretty and everything in between. i think that's the goal of most photographers. not all, but most. which is neat. i also like seeing other photographers view of reality, especially if it's different than mine.

  1. Paige, that last paragraph made me choke up inside. Beautifully said. I've never heard someone talk about photography that way before. Your hope and love shines through your words and pictures.
